Hi All

Ive been TTC with PCOS for 16 months and finally got a natural :bfp: in March .... went for an early scan to rule out ectopic last tuesday, bean was there and in the right place, but very small and slow h/b.

Follow up scan this morning and bean hasnt grown and h/b still very slow ... its hanging on for now but the nurse said that it doesnt look very positive and so i have another scan on Monday with the specialist id been seeing to see what he says.

Anyone have any experience of this?? Im devasted and although trying to think positively its very hard to do. These next 6 days are going to be the longest of my life.

Massive hugs to anyone in my situation, good and bad news stories are welcome.

 xxx

:hugs: its hard to say - its positive that bean has a heartbeat - did they say how slow it is - if you check sites for fetal heartbeats at various gestations it will tell you how fast it should be. 10% less than the normal for that stage can be a problem, but even then some babies go on to do well later.

Will be thinking of you and hoping you have a positive next scan.

Hi

Thank you very much for your reply, she didnt say how fast but it only looked about 70bpm and it should be more like 100 or more.

Just got to wait till Monday I guess and see what happens, at least the specialist will be there and he can give his opinion and I can ask him what we do from there.

:hugs: xxx

I agree with what Tanikit said, HB can be a problem but i'd never say never, as things can still go fine, no baby is the same and dates can be slightly out. Will be thinking of you and sending lots of sticky baby dust xxx

Hi ladies, thanks for all your wishes but unfortunately I went in for the 3rd scan today and there was no heartbeat, Im going to let things happen naturally ... im totally devastated but I shall be trying again as soon as possible. I will not be beaten.

:hugs: to everyone xxxx

Hi Clobo,

So sorry to hear this :-(( I hope everything goes well for you from this point forward, it is very common and nothing that could have been stopped so won't have any impact on the future but i know that doesn't help at the time having been there myself. Feel free to PM me if you want to ask anything about what happened afterwards with me - i ended up going down the surgical path.

xxx Sending Hugs xxx

Hi May

Thank you very much, im going to try and let it happen naturally, my temps have already dropped quite a lot and the nurse recommended it as its so small it should be easier physically. I will remember your kind offer though, thank you.

Take care xxx

So sorry Clobo hun, how devestating for you darlin :( Really feel for you.

Though this is small comfort, atleast you know now that you can conceive, and in my experience, a pregnancy seems to make you more fertile - it's strange, but it seems to "kick start" fertility. I'm not alone in thinking this. Hard as it is, try not to let this sad loss deter you from your dream xxx

Aw thank you so much for your words, it is a comfort and we are going to try again as soon as its all over. I will have that baby in my arms!!

Big  xxx
