7 year old home from school with strep throat

and I have a 4 month old. Very worried about my 7 year old but how do I prevent my 4th month old from contacting it and how serious is it if he does?

Most likely your LO will be fine- just don't let your older child in LO's face, or share drinks/food (obviously)... streep is contagious, but my SD has had it and the rest of us (LO included) were just fine. Long as you do common sense things like wash hands etc... you certainly don't want to get it either. Once the antibiotics have been in your kiddos system for 2-3 dys, they should no longer be contagious- but I would still keep distance between the kids (just in case) till all symptoms are gone for some time

It is better to prevent your 4month old baby from infection.
