As of July 1st I am a stay at home mom. I hate to admit it but the two of us are having some trouble adjusting to our new lives... especially when it comes to tantrums. I really had no clue they came on this early but my little guy really has some opinions on life lol.
If I step on the other side of the gate into the kitchen even when in plain sight it's a total meltdown. face on the floor curled in a ball screaming meltdown! Also when I change his diaper , take ssomething "ouch" away or not giving him my food. Do I let him cry? I feel like anything else would create a total monster! Help!

Try distraction. If you have to take something away, first get his attention with another object. I do this with Violet and She either drops the object I want to take away, or I can easily take it from her while she grabs at the new object. When you change his diaper, try giving him a toy to play with. When he cries when you leave the room, try comforting him and bringing him with you if possible. If you can't take him wit you, try to be quick!

Stalking lol my LO is starting to react at times the second I leave her sight!

At 8 months, it's not a tantrum, it's moreso just that they are finally able to connect desire with an object (they know it exists). I just use distraction.
