My LO had his first lot of vaccinations on Wednesday, I was told he may be a bit grumpy/under the weather and poss fever after the jabs, however he seemed fine Weds night and Thurs, but tonight (Friday) has been very unhappy, constantly crying and winging and not settling, not feeding properly etc. If he drops off to sleep he's awake 10 minutes later crying. Has anyone else experienced a delayed reaction to the jabs or is tonight maybe completely unrelated?

I panicked and wondered whether to look at the thread when you said bad reaction:dohh:

Yeah...did the Dr not tell you to expect a possible delayed reaction....as in temp, grumpiness?:hissy: They can get rash, temp, grumpiness etc up to a fortnight after their jabs. If you're worried get it checked but it is quite common...if the temp isn't too high then just give 2.5ml of children's paracetamol or seek medical advice if you're really concerned:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs:

Really sorry, didn't mean it to sound alarming!!! :dohh:

They did say about a possible reaction but they made it sound like it would be fairly instant eg within a day or so, never mentioned up to a fortnight!!!! He doesn't have a temperature, but have just given him 2.5mls of infant calpol as he seems in pain/discomfort, hope it helps!

My girls had their 9 month shots on a Friday and didn't have reactions to them until Sunday so i'd say it's pretty normal, i'd just keep checking temperature to make sure there's no fever, and hopefully it won't last long!!

Looks like they all had their jabs recently. Erin had her 1st ones on Tuesday, she kept waking up suddenly and screaming for the rest of that day. Probably having a nightmare about being stabbed in both of her legs with giant needles:cry:. I remember my others doing the same thing after their jabs too...bizarre eh?
