So he used to cat nap as a newborn whilst breastfeeding and fed to sleep for the night. He still wakes at night for feeds but we co-sleep and I had to sleep train him a few weeks ago because he wouldn't even let me put him down for the night and it was getting silly. However, no matter what I do he won't nap! If we go out in the car, he might nap for 15 mins. Or if I'm lucky, for half an hour or an hour, on rare occasions in his swing, but though I've tried to establish naps in his routine it's not happening. I don't now if I'm coming or going!!
Today as an example, I tried putting him down at noon as any earlier he didn't look tired at all. He just cried so I took him out half hr later and then another half hr later we went out. He stayed awake in the car, whilst out and fell asleep when we were nearly home at 3pm, for a measly 15mins. Then he wakes up but obviously not happy. I tried again at 5pm an he cried for 45mins whilst I tried settling him. He then slept half an hour. Few hours later he went down for the night at 9pm.
Is anyone else in this situation and what can I do? I have my older 2 and although they were terrible sleepers (still not great), the thing is I need him to let me get on with doing things for them. Otherwise he's just crying!
