9 weeks after...

My incision is FINALLY looking better: no bleeding, just alittle clear drainage on occasion. Unfortunately, my stomach is still sore. Not really the incision (the area around it is completely numb) but between it and my bellybutton, on the inside, more like my muscles. It still hurts when I move a certain way.

Is this normal?

Sounds normal to me, I still get this now 18 weeks pp, when I twist certain ways. My area is also numb, someone told me it can take years to get the nerve endings back in the area.

I still have a numb area just below my belly button and DD is 9 months! Tell you what my fav part is...the hyper sensitive section riiiiight next to it! You'll be fine, it sounds perfectly normal to me.

I still have numb/sensitive spots almost 14 months on. I was warned before surgery there are parts of your stomach where you might never regain all feeling x

When the HECK am I gonna be able to start doing situps?!?!? I'd like to work on toning my deflated balloon (aka belly)

Think I first started doin targeted (BUT LIGHT) tummy exercises wen she was about 3 month old and I wouldn't have dreamt of doing anything before then

What SaMa said! I had my baby in October and went back to the gym in late December. It was excruciating to do sit ups then and I was about 9 weeks pp. Around 15 weeks pp situps started being less painful. You will get there!

my lo is now 10 weeks and i still get a sore tum doing basic things just lifting a bing bag has set it off for me this week
