I posted this in Baby Club and got 93 views but no replies. What do you think? Was I rude?
It goes without saying that losing your child is the biggest fear as a parent but I just wanted to say that soap storylines will hurt if you have gone through something similar and often infertile couples are presented as desperate baby snatchers! Infertility hurts and only those it affects will understand.

hi i dont think it was rude of you to post this, and i agree i didnt like the storyline in hollyoaks either and did comment to my husband about the fact that when storylines like this are on tv people with fertility problems are often portrayed in a negative light, i too dont just want a baby i want mine and my husbands baby and to be able to share every step of it together from the moment we get that bfp x

I totally agree with you hun, and i even complained to ofcom over that storyline. Think that unless u have suffered infertility you cant appreciate our feelings/comments tho ;-)

I don't think it is rude at all. Lots of people that I know that have lost babies have complained to the BBC about how grieving mothers have been portrayed in the plot and I imagine many people that have experienced infertility have too. To date I believe there have been over 10000 complaints and the storyline has been cut shorter because of it.
