a bit of hope Maternity Allowance

i sent my form on weds and got a letter today (yes sat lol) saying i was entitled to the full amount woohoo i ams hocked to say the least at the speed they have dealt with it

but, it was a simple straight forward claim as i am self employed, so all they do is check you have registered for tax and paid your NI

i hope mine is as simple to sort out.
i filled all my forms in for work and gave them everything they needed middle of august. i then started my maternity leave on 27th september and was assured that my pay would be sorted for the following payday which was thursday last week.
so i checked the bank and shock!!!no money!!!
i got in touch with work and they decided to tell me then that they couldn't pay it to me cos my average earnings were too low.
not the end of the world you would think but i'm now having a nightmare with them trying to get hold of the smp1 form to send off for my maternity allowance claim which i know i will definitely be entitled to something.
i've been without money now mearly a month and need to get these forms sent off and hope that the ma department get it sorted asap so i can start getting money!
