a couple clomid questions...

hi ladies, am hoping you will be able to help.

i saw the consultant yesterday and as i thought he has given me provera and clomid to start. I have to book in for a scan and post coital test once my cycle starts and just wondered when in the cycle they do this.

Also he only mentioned the possibility of blurred vision and if it over stimulates the ovaries the possibility of severe abdo pain. i just wondered if there were any other side effects that people had experienced, although i do appreciate everyone is different!!

Hi your in good company here there is quite a few of us on clomid. I had a scan on day 12 on my first cycle and a blood test on day 21 every cycle.

I've had no blurred vision but get alot of hot flushes - but on the advice of some of the other ladies here took my clomid at night. I get the hot flushes at night but it bothers me less than through the day. No abdom pain slight twinges everynow and again but as you said everyone is different.

When do you start taking the clomid?

thanx for the reply, well he told me to do a pregnancy test in 2 weeks as no af so far this month, then if neg ( which im sure it will be ) will start with the provera if needed and then go from there!! yeah i have all the forms for the 21 day bloods, just wanted a rough idea for scans so i can work my shifts around it!!

I am on my second round of Clomid and I haven't had any side effects as of yet. I take them at night. Last month I did have O pains more so that normal. Good luck and I hope you get your very soon!

Hi there and welcome. I am on my first month of clomid right now (50 mg) cd5-9 (today is cd 8). I have had some hot flashes and some moments of dizziness and a headache today as well. None of the side effects are too intense though, so it seems worth it so far! But, I still don't know if it will help me ovulate. I will keep you posted.

I am on my third round of Clomid. I get hot flashes right around ovulation time. I get terrible ovulation pains - both sides for me. Other than that, nothing. Good luck!
