as the title said i have a few concerns, i am pretty sure i am just worrying unnesacarily but i cant help it, so if any one can offer any words of wisdom advice or reassurance that would be great.
so at the mo i am breast feeding baby on demand, concern number one, she is very windy after a feed, now i have checked several times with my midwife health visitor and mum (who has breast fed all 5 of her children) that she is latched on properly and they have all said she feeds really well, so where is the wind coming from have i got fizzy milk lmao does anyone else find their babies are windy????
concern 2 during the day she can feed anything from every half hour to every three hours but does feed less at night, but last night she slept all the way through from 10 till 6 this morn, is that right???? she was awake for the majority of the day before, think she only had a 3 hour nap, so was proberly shattered, but i woke at half 5 all starteld and panicing as to why she hadnt woken through the night. i know these things probably sound silly to some but like i said i am a worrier, sorry to go on x

BF babies get wind just like FF babies do - it's normal and you just need to do as you would with an FF baby - wind them well!

I am assuming from your ticker that she's still very young so she wont have a pattern to her feeds and they will last varying lenghts - you dont always want a 3 course meal, some times a snack will do!! And of course you are both still learning to BF.

All sounds totally normal to me!! :D

Congrats and keep up the good work!!

x

wind- get this all the time. he's a bit greedy and tends to gulp it down alot. ive also found when i had very fizzy pop he was worse (esp the sugar free stuff- wont be trying that again!)

Yeah wind is perfectly normal, Fennel tea can help with it but you do need to wind. Like Mervs mum said the feeding patterns are irratic for a while hun so don't worry about it xxx:hug: Congrats on your bubs

ahhhh thanks guys its just nice to hear from someone else that its ok, this is all new to me as i had to ff my first, she is still very little 2 weeks on thursday, but is already gaining weight so thats good, was just panicing about those 2 things though x x x

Sounds totally normal, sometimes they can get windy if your milk comes out fast and they gulp to begin with? By about 3 months or so it 'should' be better :) That was what i was told anyway...
My LO fed sooo often and then there are the growth spurts where you feel like they are attatched to you

Sounds like you are doing fab :)

Good to see wind is normal, my lo has bad gas too - does urs have this? seriously he farts SO loud!!

omg she sounds like she is gonna explode when she fills her nappy lol

My LO used to be BF and very windy - found camomile tea was a great help - you drink it about 30mins-1hr before a feed. Some website recommend giving it to the baby but I didn't like the idea of that - drinking it myself seemed to do the trick!

Same here, I keep on thinking it's my OH because they're adult sized
