Just had my first chemical, at 4w 3d, and am just wondering a few things, so if anyone could help me out with some answers from their own experiences, I'd be really grateful.

Is it necessary to see a Dr after a CP?

How much bleeding would be considered normal following a CP?

Is a D&C necessary?

When trying again following a CP, do you count the first day of bleeding as you would your AF?

Thanks in advance.

Hey
So sorry you have experienced a CP. they are so common unfortunately :hugs:
No need to see a doctor. The bleeding will resemble a normal period but it may just be slightly heavier than normal. First day of full red flow will be CD1. No need for any medical intervention as it is so early. Nothing would have formed yet, it's the cells that never implanted properly into the uterus I was told.
I hope this helped and so sorry you are in this place right now :flower:

Thank you so much, that's really helpful.

Disappointed about our CP, but having a 21 month old ball of energy to keep us occupied has helped with the sadness

Firstly, very sorry this has happened to you and I hope you are doing ok.

I've had a couple of CP's, last one being at the start of this month. I bled for 6 days, a bit longer than a usual period for me. It was a bit more clotty than a usual period, but tapered off quickly. I would only see a GP for a CP or miscarriage if they kept reoccurring.

Thank you minties, sorry about yours too :hugs:

You will definatley be well occupied 😊 I'm sure that next time all will go well. It's great to know that you can fall pregannt, that's what I took from my experience of having one. I agree with what minties said through def worth seeing a doc if it keeps happening X

What would be normal to feel? As I've had a terrible headache, feel sicky and a bit light headed.

I don't feel much at all with mine. Boobs felt slightly different and a bit more CM but that was all. Nothing much. Guess it depends on how sensitive you are to HCG
