right girls with photoshop and other simular programmes

i need your help, im making my own invitations for alys' christening as i would like them to be more personal.
the only problem being is ive lost my copy of photoshop!
now ive made a rough copy of what i want but i want the photo of alys to be faded intot he background and the ribbon to be a pink colour

if you can help with any of this pleaaaseee do!!!
