We were set on Jasmine for our baby's name but my stubborn little daughter Jessica says she doesn't like it, I think it is going to be hard work pleasing my daughter even though hubby is set on the name Jasmine I have my doubts.

So I have added a poll to this thread with 9 different girls names that I like (jasmine included) so could you pick your favourite please :) And with this in mind that you: 1) think it goes with my DD1's name Jessica and 2) that the name goes with middle name Ivy or Ella because these are definitely our middle name choices (Ivy hubby's nana and Ella my late grandma)

Many thanks in advance for your picks :flower:

I love all your names!!!
I do love Jasmine a lot! The only reason I didn't vote for it is it doesn't quite flow with your mns imho. I think Sophie is the only one that really works well with Jessica and with the middles.

I like:

Sophie Ella or Sophia Ivy

Has she seen Aladin? Maybe she would come around if she saw that it's a princess name?

No she hasn't but I doubt she would watch it because she's a bit of a tom boy and doesn't like princesses and girly things, she was hoping for a boy really and probably wanted us to name them after a footballer or something :haha:

Sophie is a lovely name, we was saying this a few years ago before trying, my husband's best mate named his daughter Sophia but in a way I don't think this should put us off using it. Is your name Sophie? just seen your ticker :)

Ruby Ella

Ruby was our 2nd choice for DD1 :) The only probably I have with Ruby Ella is it sounds like rubella.

Lol, i actually never thought of that, and wouldn't have tbh, but if it's in your head then it will prob be an issue for you, but first and middle names are rarely said aloud together?? I just love it. All of your names are lovely though. Would you not consider Ivy or Ella as first name options? They are both beautiful names :)

My husband was actually saying at one point to use Ella Ivy, my only problem (there is always at least 1 lol) that Ella I wanted to use as a middle name after my late grandma like I did with my other late grandma's name with DD1, I'm not as keen to use Ivy as the first name.

Jasmine Ivy

Sophie Ella

Daisy Ella

I think the reason most of those names don't go with Ivy as a mn is because they mainly end in the 'ee' sound, so both names ending in the same sound often doesn't flow as well...

The Ruby Ella rubella thing made me laugh! Once I'd thought of that i'd never be able to use it :D

Thank you for your choices, I agree with which middle name you have chosen for each :D

I like Jasmine Ella best!

Jessica & Jasmine goes well

But if your daughter doesn't like it, i'm not sure I would use it.

I like every name on your list, except Bethany/Beth.

Thank you for picking :) My DD1 changes her mind and mood like the wind so we not going to give up hope yet, we hope she will come round to which ever name we choose.

I really like Jasmine and Zoe, but all your names are nice! Even though I like the name Sophie, I don't really like it with either MN though, just because with Ivy they both have the ee sound at the end, and for some reason Sophie Ella (though it looks beautiful written down) sounds to me like one name that's a strange twist on Sophia when it's said together...like, Sophiella. Don't know if that makes sense :) but you have some seriously gorgeous names to choose from (and about 4 of them are on our list of girls' names too, so I love your taste!) good luck :)

Thank you for your picks :) Yeah I get what you mean with Sophie Ella, my husband's best mates daughter is named Sophia so it's a bit uncertain if we will use Sophie any way because of this.

I voted Scarlet but I don't think it looks right with only one 't'

Thanks for your vote :) I was unsure if to use 1 or 2 t's, maybe a silly reason why me and husband said the 1 t because then it would be 7 letters like all of our names, I'm not bothered either way really using 1 or 2.

Haha! Yes it is but that's not why I said it. As a rule I'm not all that keen on my own name but I think it works well here :)
