A little update

I just thought I'd update our story for those of you who remember Alex and I and to give hope to those still in NICU.

Alex was born at 27+3 by em c section due to severe pre e. He spent 86 days in SCBU before coming home on home oxygen.

Since coming home Alex has well and truly thrived. He is now 29 weeks old (15.5 corrected) and is 13lb 7oz. A couple of weeks ago we had the amazing news that he could come off of the oxygen during the day! He'll hopefully be off completely in a couple of weeks.

We found out that Alex has severe hearing loss so now has bilateral hearing aids which seem to be having an effect.

So far we haven't had any development issues but it's early days so we have checks every 2 months to see how he's coming on.

He is the love of my life and he is just amazing

Sam you know I think both you are Alex are fab! Everytime I see a new picture of him on FB, I'm amazed, he really is a little marvel x
