My squishy surprise was a pink one!!! :happydance:

In brief basically, my membranes ruptured on Monday around 1pm. Went in to get checked and came home as contractions were so irregular and not that intense at all. Had instructions to come back the following day after 6pm for induction if nothing much was happening. By then contractions really had got going. I was only 2 or 3cm so had a way to go.

It all just went a bit crazy then and I'm on my phone and feeding so I'll spare you all the details, cos I can't be bothered to type lol. Suffice to say I didn't enjoy this labour in the least, nothing like my last, which just went amazing. I had a horrid MW who basically ignored all my plans and couldn't take goddamn blood or get an iv line in for toffee, but I have such dreadful dreadful veins apparently :growlmad: my hands and right arm are absolutely black and blue, I look a bloody mess. Unfortunately I found myself begging for an epidural, which ended up failing ironically so I guess it was destined haha. I dilated pretty quickly and pushed her out in 23 mins, but OMG! it was haaaarsssshhh!!! lol

So Thora Caroline arrived at 01.38am on Wednesday 1st August, weighing 8lb9oz. She is perfect! She has sooo much dark hair, I'm staggered lol. She's a bit of a madam already and has a real temper tantrum cry so I guess that's another diva in the household :haha:

I'll update with some pics later but I can't be bothered to get my laptop out.

Congratulations, Lovely name. Sorry about the horrible midwife. How are Arthur & Violet finding having a new sister? X

Thanks hun, Arf has been really helpful actually and so so gentle. He's very inquisitive, Violet just wants to poke and prod her :haha:

Well done Chellie babe. Thora is a gorgeous name and she is a beauty too. Her hair is just immense. How are Arf and Vi taking to her? Pregnant again yet? ;) haha xx

Thanks everyone. She is pretty spectacular. Gemma, Chris is under firm instructions to stay the hell away from me for at least 18 months! Arf and Vi are pretty good with her actually, Arf has been so helpful and Vi likes to touch her, a lot. They've both been playing with the doll my mum bought Vi a lot more, they're so sweet :cloud9:
