My daughter was an emergency c section and my son was delivered by an elective c section 10 months ago. I definitely was not expecting a third pregnancy. Can i try for a vaginal birth this time round?

I am not allowed to try for a vbac this time, I have had 2 emergency sections before and will have a planned one this time.

No not at all. 2nd baby was a failed vbac attempt, my body does not want to dilate at all. I wouldn't want to have to go through another failed labour and emergency section so was happy with what the consultant advised.

Depends on your OB/midwife's preference. There's no way my OB would let me have a VBA2C, it was a nightmare finding someone for a VBAC! :(

Where do you live? Depends on your hospital and your history. It's certainly not unheard of. There are plenty of birth stories on line of vba2c and even 3!
I had a vbac in May. Can I ask why you when for an elective last time? Do you feel very strongly about vbac this time? You may need to prepare yourself to fight for it x

i had a vbac in july and i know my ob would let most women try vba2c if the circumstances were good. good luck. lots of women do it but it can be a fight

With my eldest she was back to back, i developed pre-eclamsia during labour, my blood pressure was sky high so i was wheeled for an emergency c section as i wasnt progressing. Turns out after she was born the doctors told me there was no way i'd be able to have pushed her out because she was 9lbs 6oz, her head was quite big and she was back to back, so kind of glad i took the section!
With nathan i really wasnt sure which path to take, i didnt want to go through labour all over again just to be wheeled for another csection so i voted an elective in the end! He came out two weeks early weighing 8lbs 3oz! Can't believe what he'd have weighed if i'd gone over my due date!
This time i feel guilty for not trying a vbac with nathan, although im not sure if i'll even be allowed to try for one this time as this is my third pregnancy in two years! I'm going to ask and possibly put up a fight for it, the elective section was so damn heaven like compared to my emergency csection which makes me weary... i'll just have to wait and see what my midwife says about it, nathan was a high risk pregnancy xx
