Hi ladies,
Just wondering if any have you experienced this before....
I woke up during the night last night and felt the most wierdest feeling half way between my belly button and pelvic bone. The only way to describe it was like an ocean wave that went from left to right and I've never ever felt anything like that in my life before down there! Could it be baby so soon??? :winkwink:
It certainly didn't feel like gas at all.
xxx

I wouldn't have thought so with it being your first and being 13 weeks but I suppose it's not impossible. Could it not have been wind? I had such bad wind in my tummy, it felt like a baby kicking. It was so bad that I could even feel it from the outside! I didn't know I was pregnant then (far too early) so it was definitely wind. But could be baby I guess, but I had a scan at 13.5 weeks with my son and he was floating around all over the place, doing somersaults and I never felt that as there's so much room and lots of fluid in your tummy x

I would say definitely not wind because I've suffered stomach problems for many many years until I discovered I was gluten intolerant 18 mths ago and I've never felt a feeling like this before. I dunno...maybe it was something else but it was certainly strange!

I know that feeling, you described it really well,I didnt know how to describe it :)beautiful feeling isnt it :)

I felt my first at 12 wks, he was a mover and a kicker! Separated my ribs at 25 wks!

I felt something today that i could have sworn was baby lol but am only 5 weeks so ino it definetly wasnt,

I remember when I was pregnant with my son that a girl on here felt something similar to what you described. Think she was about 12-13 weeks and everyone was telling her it definitely wasn't baby, too early. But everyone's different I guess. She said her whole belly vibrated! I'm sure I could feel where the baby was at that stage. Like when I woke up, I'd just feel a slight heaviness on one side and when I got my Doppler out, that's where he always was so it must be possible x

Was it like one spot, like something small had pushed against you and moved across? Or was it like the whole area moved in a wave? I ask because, for me, the first movements (with all 3 at 16 weeks) have been a tiny pop. Like someone flicking their fingers on my belly, but from the inside. It then turned to a feeling like butterflies as I felt more movements at a time. But my contractions actually came in 'waves', like if I were in water and a wave lapped across my belly. I wonder if it could be that you are one of those people who experience Braxton hicks very early? My friend had them from about 12 weeks and she said in the beginning they just felt weird and towards the end of her pregnancy they were uncomfortable/painful.
I guess there is a chance it was baby, I've seen people on line claim to feel baby as early as 10 weeks, it's just very unlikely.

My first movements felt the same as yours motherofboys. At first, I just thought it was wind but it was definitely baby xxx

i think that could be baby! i felt dd first at about 14 weeks so definitely possible!

I really hate when people dismiss you when you say it might be baby... Everyone is different and I think it's entirely possible that its baby - I felt my son moving very early on too :) :)

Thanks ladies for your comments!
@motherofboys - it wasn't just one spot, it was like a Mexican wave inside me that moved across in a line and lasted a few seconds. No pain at all; it just felt so bizarre!

Two days prior to that I had another really wierd feeling that came 2 or 3 times during the day....it was like a moth trapped in a jar that was flapping it's wings really fast to escape (almost like a vibration at one small spot). This came at exactly the same spot each time on my left-hand side and around the same point where this "wave" started!

Well, I've no ideas what it all could have been, it was just really odd and they were distinct funny feelings I've never felt before. Anyway, whatever it was, I'll put it down to the wonders of pregnancy, whether it was baby or not! xxxx

You will soon know for sure hun, you will keep feeling the same feelings but they will get stronger and it will become obvious when it's the baby and you will know if that feeling was the same or not.

It is possible.
I felt this baby tapping me in week 13 and it's my first baby.
Every woman and pregnancy is different. if you are very slight to begin with which I am, there's no reason you won't feel it earlier than everyone else.
