Abdominal support/binder for toddler

I posted this in the toddler section, but thought you all may have more insight.

Anyone have experience with abdominal binders? My daughter's occupational therapist has ordered one for her due to low muscle tone around her mid-section. It's supposed to help her engage her abs and stop her from waddling. It's also supposed to help with GERD.
