I'm nine days postpartum, and finding that even though my major source of pain (my episiotomy) is improving, other aches and pains are popping up. Specifically, I'm finding that my clitoris is really sore, and that my navel, which is weirdly sunken, hurts a fair bit when I touch it. I've read online that the clitoral pain is normal, and I'm hoping it goes away in the next week or two. The belly button thing is weird, though. I had an innie, it popped midway through the second trimester, and now my it's sunken down inside my post-pregnancy pooch. I pressed on it in the shower today and was surprised by how much it hurt!

Anyone experiences either of these things? Any idea when/if I can expect them to get better? I'm worried my navel issue might be a sign of a hernia or something.

Hi, the post pregnancy period is so confusing, isn't it!? There's so much info on pregnancy issues available but not so much on post natal :nope:

I also have this clitoris pain sometimes though it does appear to be easing. In the beginning I found it worse if I'd been on my feet.

My belly button became an outie during pregnancy too and has since become an innie again (thank god lol) but I haven't had any pain with it so can't help you there, I'm afraid.

I have had a ridiculous amount of pelvic and back pain since birth though. Its annoying because I thought the pelvic pain was supposed to get better but for me its worse and I didn't have any back pain during my pregnancy (or even labour)!!

Thanks for your response! It's helpful to hear other people's experiences. :flower:
