I know that this isnt too uncommon, round ligament pains kick my butt, but for the past few days or so the upper part of my stomach feels sore and achey. It might be due to my consistant coughing but id really like to double check. My drs appointment is on the 21 so ill ask them as well but has anyone else had this around 16 weeks?

I remember feeling aches in my stomach during the first part of the second tri. Kind of like I'd done a whole heap of sit ups. Not too sure if that's what you're experiencing but coughing a lot can certianly causing discomfort in that area. Also all your organs are shifting upwards so that can contribute.

Yes! round ligament pain was bad for me from about 12 - 18 weeks. It seems to be ok now, im at 20 weeks. Maybe I'm just used to it? But I remember around 15 or 16 weeks was really painful for me. I also realized I did a lot of bending that my doctor said I need to do less of. It helped reduce how much pain I was noticing. And that pain was in my upper stomach. Cause bending pushes the baby upwards (even at 16 weeks). But yeah coughing will get you sore. I have a chest infection at the moment and my upper stomach area kills! So nothing to worry about. Hope it gets better soon :)

Pretty sure it's normal, I remember being really achey heading into second tri.
