Adadvice on baby suffering with bad cold and blocked nose

My 9 month got a bad cold and hes not.sleeping well in the night,his nose is so blocked that hes struggling so keeps waking,also been having a temp esp at night,the gp said its a virus and wil take time,just. Wondering if i should prop his matress up if any of u did wot did u use?Ive had to push him in his push chair last 2 nights and slept in their, ignore the spelling on the tiltle, my mobiles fault

We use something called Snuffle Babe which is like Vicks. We rub it on LO's feet before going to sleep and it really helps.

Make sure you cover his feet with a babygrow or socks though.

Karvol plug in or capsules are really good, bit like vicks the capsules u just break one up and sprinkle onto a towel/cloth, and keep it near little ones cot xx

Rio has the same and I've been putting snuffle babe on his feet and chest. Using a saline nasal spray before bed, baby olbas oil (make sure it's not where baby can suck it obviously) and keeping him elevated I've just been bed sharing and had him propped on my arm, which is the only thing that's working for us unfortunately meaning I am not getting much sleep. It's been over a week since Rio got the virus now I am hoping it won't last much longer x

My lb has a cold I have been putting snuffle babe on his chest. I dont understand how it works putting it on their feet?

It's something to do with reflexology points on the feet. I was confused too, but it seems to work!

Snuffle babe and a plug in. Calpol do one and IMO is worth it. Keeps him unblocked for most of the night. I also raise his mattress so the snot slides down his throat better. Defo get a plug tho!

Thanks ladies, we have been using the calpol plug and snufle babes on both chest and feet but his little nose so bunged up he keeps waking,he had a better night lastnight at least and woke up twice, had to rock him in his push chair at 3 am to settle him bk
