Hi
I was wondering if anyone out there was adopted and TTC?
Here's all I know about my biological mother:
She was also adopted and had me at 16/17. Her adoptive family kicked her out of the house once they found out she was pregnant. During the 9months with me she quit smoking/drinking. My biological father was 19.
That's it. That's all I know. Now I know you may think, 'well your bio-mother loved you enough to put you up for adoption to have a better life.' This is true, i love my family and I don't think about my bio-mother at all. BUT, I only think about her when it comes to my family history. My adoption case is closed here in NY and I can't access my case. I'm excited to be TTC, but then I'm fearful of what I may be passing on to my children. So far all i know is i have PCOS. My DH knows his family history and here's me in the dark. My mother (adoptive) never had children so it's hard to talk to her about TTC.
I don't know. I was just wondering if anyone else out there is in the same shoes as me.
