My son is obsessed with blackberry bushes. Ever since I took him blackberry picking at 16 months he is able to pick out blackberry bushes wherever we go and we have this identical conversation...

'Babeez'!
'Ah yes, that's a blackberry bush'...
'nuhmuh'...
That's right, all the blackberries have gone. They were there to pick in autumn but now it's winter'
...'cold'...'
Yes it's cold now and there are no more blackberries'...
'nuhmuh...Muh? Babeez?'

:cloud9:

Mines is obsessed with dolls just now. She carries her dolls around all the time, puts them in their buggies, hugs them and pats their backs, feeds them, gives them milk, and tells everyone to "shh!" With her finger over her mouth if we talk when she is playing with dolly. She also kisses dolly all the time and demands that everyone else does the same.

She's also obsessed with the dog. She squeals with delight when he comes into the room.

She loves shoes. She keeps bringing shoes to me and saying "oes!" Or pointing at her feet/our feet and saying "oes!"

15 months and already following gender stereotypes which we were adamant she wouldn't allow. She does have cars and construction toys too, but she prefers girlie things!

Her blankie. She's 3 and a half and has been dragging that thing around for over 2 years now. I don't know what we are going to do if it ever goes missing LOL Today, after preschool, we went to my cousin's house and dd asked me where blankie was and I told her at home. (dd usually puts her in her backpack but we were rushed this morning and she forgot) She went in to melt down mode bc "she was all alone at home and would be sad" (yes, blankie is a girl and is frequently referred to as 'her/she' and apparently has feelings) I have to sneak to wash it, otherwise there is a melt down bc "she doesn't like bubble baths" (blankie, that is)

She has other little obsessions that come and go, but blankie is her best friend and heaven forbid anything ever happen to her.

Yellow tractors mostly. But he also likes yellow cars, trains and trucks. He has also taken a liking to his dino toys lately.

Putting underpants on her head, she will take dirty ones out of the laundry basket too!!

His doll, since we went to visit a friends new baby just before Christmas he has been carrying it round kissing it and singing row row your boat to it except he doesn't know or can't say all the words so he just sings row row row boat crocodile and the scream 😂. He makes us do peekaboo to the doll and takes it to bed!

He's also obsessed with his electric quad bike thing but he balances on it standing up and bends down to press the button to make it go, now he's not allowed it outside till he learns to sit on it instead of stand, it's made him more obsessed lol.

- Hats
- Dancing the conga (by grabbing the back of his big sisters clothes and shouting "go")
- Hiding and then jumping out to shout "boo" (but actually sounds more like 'baa' - scary sheep!! :haha:
- Cooking (I give him dry food like pasta shapes to mix in a bowl while I'm cooking)

Lots of obsessions - all pretty cute though :)

My just turned 3 year old daughter is obsessed with vampires. It has been going on for almost a year now. Every night she sleeps with a felt vampire that she made, a paper hand drawn one that she had me laminate, a stuffed vampire, 2 little vampire figures, and a Halloween coloring book turned to the page with Dracula on it. The other morning the first thing she said to me was "Baby Dracula keeps growling at me! He wants strawberry blood, but I only have blueberry blood."

Wow, he's still talking about it? Leo LOVED going out to pick blackberries and huckleberries but eventually gave up asking about them. We also have an apple tree that he liked getting apples from.

Frozen. Film, soundtrack, dolls etc. Absolutely obsessed. It was cute at first.. 😂

So cute!
James is obsessed with this magnetic doodle board of Holly's. It has a pen attached to it by a string and he takes it everywhere with him. It's so funny seeing him dragging it about.

At the moment it's pretending he is a shop keeper... any table he can get behind he will stand behind it and say "hello", we have to ask him if he has any (whatever product he tells us to ask for) and then we have to ask how much it is (always a pound :haha:) and then pretend to hand over money!!!

He has a cash register and toy food but does it this way every time.

Leo used to be more obsessed with balls than he is now, but he still loves them. I got him a beach ball for Christmas, but ended up giving it to him after because I lost it! Anyway, he took the beach ball in the bath tub the first day he had it. Violet was in the tub too, so it got a bit crowded!

My two year old is obsessed with socks! Every night at bedtime she has to pick them and it actually really helped with learning her colours. She even asked for orange socks for Christmas.

My eldest, not quite a toddler is obsessed with ponies and knowing their names

The home alone film!
He quotes it, plays it with his different figures, acts it out etc. Taking away the DVD (which he has only watched 3-4 times he just likes carrying it around) is the worst punishment ever in his eyes!

Very similar to erinprime, my lo is still obsessed with Halloween. I have to keep getting Halloween books from the library, we read them every night. He talks constantly about ghosts, skeletons, witches and vampires! Always, do you like vampires mum? Etc

His other obsession is his stuffed dinosaur, Dexter. Uses him as a pillow, won't go to bed without him, cuddles and kisses him and says how much he loves Dexter.

Oh mine loves Halloween too. The scarier the thing through better. He's still packing his bucket around and filling it with toys.

This is totally off the wall, but when my son was 3 he was OBSESSED with garage doors. We would have to find them on all the houses every time we went out. From there his obsession evolved into cars and learning about all the different brands. Last it evolved into car washes. He is 5 and still loves the car wash. He knows them all by brand (who makes the car wash) and will tell us which one he wants to go to. His favorite is the soft gloss maxx by reiko, but also really likes the bay wash by oasis

My 3 year old daughter is obsessed with makeup. Always has to have lipstick on and be looking pretty.

Dd who is two has a thing for the tumble dryer. Its her job to emoty the fluff after each load. Once OH did it, and she cried. She can be in the middle of the biggest tantrum and i can say, would you luke to empty the fluff and she is happily skipping off to the dyer. She also likes to fill the washing machine, fill and empty the dryer, while holding up each itemand saying who they belong to. She also is obsessed with oranges. She got quite upset i only had one the otherday, bypassed all the sweets in the shop to find the oranges and cheered when we paid for them.
