Hey everyone, just looking for a little bit of advice! I had a D&C on 22nd April after a missed miscarriage, I bled for a good week afterwards, was very painful, and spotted on and off for another couple of weeks. A few times I thought it was my period starting, but I knew it was too soon. I expected my period to be here around about now. So on Sunday night I got the familiar cramps, went and checked, and i had started to bleed. The cramps got so severe i couldn't seem to do anything for the pain, I was in tears it was awful! Anyways, a couple of hours later, the bleeding and cramp had completely stopped! Totally puzzling. And the same thing happened again yesterday, only with slightly less blood and pain.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this at all? Or if I should go to my GP. I'm keen to get pregnant ASAP but I'm never gonna know what my cycle is like at this rate.

Call your GP to make sure this is normal. I've never had the stop and start of bleeding and cramping like that. But when the witch does come, the first one is not necessarily heavy but the cramping is horrendous. But nothing a steady stream of ibuprophen can't take care of.
Now, go call the doc and keep us posted.

I've heard this can happen. Sometimes it's because there was a tiny spot left that didn't get flushed out until now. That's why there would be so much pain as well. Sort of like a clot stuck that became unstuck, know what I mean. I am NO doctor though!! In talking to my doctor she said that it's so unpredictable what can happen after to a womans hormones that it could be 2 to 8 weeks until the next normal period. She said that 8 weeks is the key number because by then your hormones will be normal. That's also why they say to wait 2 cycles before trying (2 cycles=8 weeks). Basically, she said to ignore anything between the day of loosing the baby to 8 weeks. Just the same, she said if your ready to have sex then go for it. If you conceive then that's great. She did stress that the worries and anxiety of wondering if your pregnant can be very high during that time, because as you know (and I'm doing the same thing) with all the hormones and goofy bleeding it seems like I could be pregnant right now as it is.

Hope this helps somewhat, if not, then just ignore my rambling!
