SIGH!

I am not worried bout this issue. But my mother is. I have pregnancy anemia (something I've had all my life though too), my mom is very worried about blood loss and home birth.

I live 2 minutes from the hospital and had no issues with bleeding with my 1st (hospital birth). I didn't have anemia in that pregnancy.

Can anyone provide something I can show her to reassure her? She's quite worried and 5000km away. She will be here for the home birth though and that's why she's quite involved (as both a birthing partner and to care for my other child).

PPH is statistically less likely to happen at home, as the interventions that increase the risk of PPH (induction, instrumental delivery etc) don't occur. If a pph does occur, the midwives can do all the first line interventions themselves at home, before transfer to hospital. If I can find any stats for you, I'll link them x

Thanks girls!

I will summarize it and show her (she's dyslexic and English is her 2nd language, poor gal LOL) and hopefully it can comfort her :)
