I am going to see tomorrow bugaboo bee plus and was wondering what should i look for.
Its been advertised on gumtree (uk)

I guess look at wheels, try to fold/unfold, forward and rare facing, clip/unclip straps..what else?

Also, would you ask for a discount? I am happy to pay asking price and terrible in negotiating, but even £10 off would be nice :)

Thanks

The biggest thing I would say is smoke free and damp free. I have a friend who bought a second hand pram and it was in mint condition but had been stored in a house where people smoked and she just could not get rid of the smell. Also if it's been stored outside look carefully for any signs of mildew on it anywhere. We had to throw out our old pram because it had little black mould dots all over the seat. A bit of dirt you can easily clean but mildew is virtually impossible to get rid of, we couldn't shift it even with specialist products.

From my experience, check the wheels! I bought a second hand pram which lasted the girl 12 months then us for 15 months. I then bought another second hand one from the internet and it was crap. Got totally ripped off and the front wheels snapped whist I was in town. Nightmare! We then got a cheap second hand one from a friend (as we had bought a new double to be used now) and the wheels were again well used and caused the pram to pull to the side.

As for the discount, be bold and ask. Never know, they might just be nice and knock a little off. Don't be pressured in to buying it just because you have gone to see it. If you aren't happy then just say no thanks. Could be an expensive mistake and you will be unhappy til you get another xx

Thanks a lot! Have not thought about that! Will check it throughout and sniff for the smell :)

Thanks! Will definetelly do that! But how exactly to check them? Wheel buggy around? On photo they look pretty good. My son pram, bugaboo chameleon, we got from good friends, so did not check it priperly as we knew them and weels looked worn, but never failed us once.

will buy it only if i like it, its half the price of the new, but still expensive to buy just for the sake of it! Thanks for your input!

I did not get the buggy in the end
The frame and wheels where pretty good, but the seat was covered in cat fur and smelled..plus this lady bought it from someone else and dont know how long they had it.
So will keep looking..
Thanks to everyone for the advice
