advice on Avent teats

so Ffion is still using stage 1 avent teats because stage 2 (the ones that came with the bottles) seem to fast for her to cope with.

but she doesnt usually finish a bottle? actually the amount she has at each feed varies from 4 to 7 oz.

do you think i need to give her the faster flow to increase her milk intake or should i keep her on stage 1 teats?

I'd try her on the stage 2 for a couple of days and see if she copes better with it now - it might take a few feeds for her to get used to the faster flow. If she doesn't drink from them you can always go back to stage 1 x

STage 2 isn't fast enough for Tegan - when she was in hospital they gave her old fashioned medium flow teats, and as she was in there for 8 and a half weeks we can't get her to take anything slower - with Dr.Browns bottles she has to have stage 3, with Avent the stage 3 variflow ones aren't fast enough at the maximum flow.

I'd do like Sam's mum says, try it for a few days and see. I'm not sure if the teats are the same here but Hannah's used the stage to avent once since we brought her home from the hospital (she takes anywhere from 3-5 ounces at a time)

yeah as sams mum says. it will take her a few days to adjust and get used to the faster flow teat and u can always go back to slow flow if she does not like it x
