Right so right after i found out i was pregnant, i got a 'baby fund' money jar. I haven't taken anything out of it (well i cant, it's one that you have to smash) for the whole 31 weeks i've had it, and been putting money in it whenever i can. I expect there is a pretty amazing amout in there by now!

Heres the problem. I bought everything with the money going into my debit card, and my inheritence money from my grandad.

So i don't actually know what the jar is for now? We have everything we need for bubs until he is about 9 months!! :haha:

Any ideas of what the money could now be for? Like shall we just keep putting money into it until we need it? or shall i smash it at christmas, or what? heeeelp lol

x

Oh and i thought i'd attach pics of the jar as i loooove it and its so beautiful!!!

i had one of these for my birthday last year and smashed it on my birthday this year had loads in it!! you could save it for christmas or babies first birthday??

his birthday is a good idea :)
we have one that we put money into each week & it's going to go in a bank account for Charlie so that he can have it when he's 16/18 (not sure what the normal age is :haha:) x

maybe you could put the money into a child trust fund for shauny?

I would keep putting money in it for LO's first birthday :) xxx

they have loads, they have like 'holiday fund' 'shoe fund' 'shopping fund' 'weekend away' ... :) x

yeah my grandad did this for me as a uni fund, i have about three grand in there now [just a shame i never made it to uni :dohh: but it will either be divided between my borthers if they go or given to my LO when she goes]

Yeah I'd save it and put it in an account for him.

OH and I painted a piggy bank for Finn (painted it green, with blue dots, and his name :)) and we've been putting any spare change in it. We'll open a bank account for him once he's here and anytime it's full the money will go into there!

My friend had one of these money boxes, seemed such a shame to smash it even though your suppposed to make a wish and stuff so she drilled a hole in the bottom:haha:

I'd say first birthday too hun. My LO will be a month old to at xmas and we've bought a couple of rattles and squidgy books for him as we have got loads of toys in his room that were the girls they've outgrown to help him crawl etc so were gonna get him a couple more bits after that. Now were working on kids pressies lol x nice and expensive lol

You could put it in to a savings account for you bubbx
