advice on where to get a hcg blood test

hi girls sorry to post here dont want to cause any upsets or problems just unsure where to post it

does any know any one where in the midlands or yorkshire near chesterfield i can get a blood test to check for HCG please privately that is thanks

Hi Mummylou - When I wanted a progesterone test during my miscarriage the nurses at the hospital wouldn't as it wasn't procedure and the nurse practitioner at the GPs wouldn't go against the hospital nurse. I rang a local private hospital and they could do it for £50 - just needed GP referral. I was lucky as when I rang the GP for the referral he said he would do it anyway. Seems the nurses in my area are very concerned with following procedure!! anyway - I don't know anyone in your area but am sure any private hospital can do the blood tests - but your GP may do for free ( also if you do get the bloods privately I would still have the appt to discuss the outcome with your GP - I think that would be where it would start to get much more expensive privately ) hx

if you go privately, you will need a consultation first so they know why and when to take it etc. That usually costs about £150 before you even start with blood taking and processing costs. I'd see your GP
