My son is having it early tomorrow to have a broken tooth removed, on the info it says no chewing gum, drinking or eating 6hrs before, do u think I shouldn't brush his teeth either then before?

I don't think this would make a difference but to be on the safe side, Id not brush his teeth during those 6 hour. I hope all goes ok and he will be ok!

My son had GA two and a half weeks ago for eye surgery and we didn't brush his teeth beforehand as he wasn't allowed to have breakfast anyway since it was first thing in the morning. I didn't really decide not to, it was more that it was a rush and we had to be out of the house at 6am. If you're worried just skip it. It won't do him any harm not to have his teeth brushed one time.

Good luck for the GA. I found it quite upsetting to watch him being put to sleep, hugs to you if you need them!

I would think teeth brushing would be fine. I don't think a pea sized drop of tooth paste will make any difference.

It's more that he may swallow water while doing it rather than having anything to do with the toothpaste...

I'm pretty sure the amount he'd swallow from a damp tooth brush would not be significant.

Thank u, yes I'm not looking forward to him been put to sleep, be glad when its all done this morning, decided not to brush his teeth as can't guarantee he won't swallow anything. IF it says on info can't chew gum which obviously don't swallow it must be important now to even swallow bit of water etc so we better be safe.
