Maybe tmi but I went to the loo about an hour ago for a bowel movement and I got the worst lightening crotch ever! Literally I was pinching my thighs it hurt that bad lol. I'm sat in bed now and having a few contractions (maybe bh's) but they only hurt when I'm sat upright, if I lie down it still tightens but they don't hurt :/ i know I'm not in active labour but could it be early labour? I'm 36+4 xx

I am in early, slow labour, with the same lightening shooting pains ever, I mean I have never experienced shooting pains sooooo sore!! I stood up and literally was bent over in pain that I had to sit down and close my legs together tightly and breathe!! I have mild contraction cramps and lower backache!! If you are worried or concerned I would call your midwife and see what advice they give you.
