AF after D&C

Hey everyone,

i had a d&c 4 weeks ago but still no sign of AF or any feeling that i will see her soon. (apart from sore nipples sorry TMI) which i dont normally have.

Just wondering out of personal experience how long did it take anyone to have their first AF after a d&c or even a m/c. The consultant told me if i didnt have one within 6 weeks then to see my doctor. Me and my OH are trying again this month so hopefully she wont come

Hey hun so sorry for your loss. I had my af 31days after my d & c. Hope your returns soon. They say it can take as much as 6wks to return if not call your dr.

It was about a month for me, but it takes longer for some women.

Sounds like all of ours were about the same, mine was after 35 days. Hope she doesnt show up for you!

just an update... it has now been 33 days and still no sign of or any of the usual signs that she is on her way. Though i dont feel pregnant either.. too scared to do a test incase it comes back

i can just see me being one of those having to wait for 6 weeks for their first ARGGGHHHH

Hi hun I'm in the same situation as you. Currently 32 days since m/c, and no sign of AF.
We are trying too. I have bucket loads of CM (sorry if tmi), andcan't drink coffee.

I actually tested yesterday am & was bfn.
Not sure if its too early, if I did'n ov when I had fertile cm a couple of weeks ago & am ov now.

I'm so confused. If no sign of AF by next w/end I'm gonna test again & if she still hasn't shown by the following week I'll be off to the GP.

This waiting game is sooo annoying. The 2ww is bad enough. I just want my body back to normal & stop messing around so that we canget on with ttc. I hate this being in limbo.

I know exactly how you are feeling Caroline, we must have had our d&c at around the same time. i dont have any symptoms as of yet of coming on... but then dont have preggie symptoms either.

its awful waiting isnt it! my six weeks will be up on 20th May so if i havent had my AF by then then i will test. i dont want to be disapointed by taking a test now and it coming back

you will have to keep me updated on weather or not the witch comes. hope it doesnt for you!

I was 8 weeks too when I m/c, started spotting on the Thursday, GP fitted me in to see him that afternoon & arranged for a scan on the Tuesday.
Gave me letter & said if things get worse go straight to A& E.
I woke @ 4am on Good Friday cramps worse, bled heavy & passed clots so knew it was all over.
Went to A & e in the morning & had scan but there ws nothing there, so I didn't need d&c.

I have some symptoms of pg, can't drink coffee makes me feel and have been waking in am feeling nausaeous & slightly dizzy, but I think its my hormones/body playing tricks on me.

If no af this week will test this weekend & the following weekend then go to Drs 1st june if no af either.

My OH is a trooper. I felt so down yesterday partly bfn as i was ticked off with my body plus I would have been having my 12 week scan today. He is trying to play it cool. He's like we'll take it easy just go with the flow & if I'm not pg in a few months will start temping & charting.
he said he is hoping I am pg but didn't want to say anything 'cos if I'm not he didn't want me to feel as if I'd let him down. He als osaid its easier said than done taking it easy, bless him.

Fx'd for two nice big juicy 's for us that are big & sticky.
