AF after m/c

How long did everyone's take to come back?

I had a m/c at 4+5 on 9th December and over 6 weeks later I'm still waiting I just want it to hurry up so I can feel a bit normal again.

I had cramps the other night and thought she was going to be here by the following morning (I went to bed armed with pads) got up and zilch.

How long did everyone else's take?

It took 31 days for my first AF after the m/c to come. It started on 9th dec (the mc) and AF came the 9th Jan x

I had my D&C on the 4th Dec and my AF come on the 17 th Jan, hope this helps

Rather bizarrely, my AF came literally 28 days after MC. We didn't wait after MC before TTC again, so I had this huge hope that I would conceive just a week after MC, which I guess was pretty unlikely. Anyway, I started getting cramps and then managed to convince myself that it was implantation bleeding ... and then along came AF, as regular as if she'd never been away I don't know how you're feeling now after your MC, but do prepare yourself to feel lots of unusual feelings (emotionally I mean) when your AF turns up. I was just beginning to feel happier again after my MC, but my first AF after MC pretty much blew me away ... it was like revisiting the MC all over again. We had very recently put new lino in our bathroom, and each time I walked in there, the smell of the lino hit me like a bolt and made me remember my MC and sitting on the bathroom floor in the middle of the night. I was severely emotional and it was very hard work for both me and OH. Things have calmed down again now though, three months later!

Good luck with TTC again, and hope AF shows soon so you can get back to a semi-normal way of life again.

I think I was especially lucky and mine arrived spot on 28 days. But I think it's common that it can be longer after MC.

Mine was exactly 30 days after which is about right for me. Really hope she shows up soon for you ( feel weird saying that) so you can get back on track physically .

Mines took forever (well that's what it felt like at the time) 8wks to be exact!! then 19 days later i have just had another one, i used to be regular but things are still up and down at the moment. I am finding it hard not to obsess about getting pregnant again but it is difficult when it is soooo out of your control . I find myself constantly looking for answers on here as to when my cycles will return to normal and when i am likely to get pregnant again but everyone is different so there are no definite answers.

If you are having cramps at the mo then perhaps that could be OV!? (I know i had cramps two weeks before a/f showed up) so worst case scenario you will have to wait another 2wks for a/f to arrive.

after my first miscarriage at 11 weeks, AF took 45 days......after my second miscarriage at 8 weeks, AF took 41 days.....

i'm told that all depends how far gone you were.....

take care though....an i hope that you don't have to wait too long again.....

I had my d/c on oct 10, and Af arrived Dec 8th i use to be a 28 day cycle before the d/c now i am a 25 day cycle and TTC this month using opk's wish you luck...

After my first m/c my AF arrived exactly 28 days later.... My last m/c was on Dec 27th. and I am getting very light spotting today. I did start with cramping 2 days ago..so maybe its a sign that your AF is near.

I hope it comes soon for you. Think everyone is different so no rules really. Could it be ovulation pains? I don't get them so not sure but lots of people do??

I had my m/c over 3 months ago and I only had very, very light spotting last month which lasted 4 days - my body is frustrating me - I don't know what to think!

Hi snowball, I just had my first pregnancy end in m/c this month and been wondering about AF too.

My m/c was 19th Jan and I was 14 weeks along. The bleeding's been gradually slowing and is only just stopping now (sorry - ignore me if TMI!!). That's nearly 2 weeks - in anyone else's experience, does this long bleed mean it's likely to be longer till AF? And will it be more painful than usual after a m/c??

When i had erpc after a mmc, i bled for 4 weeks and then two weeks later i got AF. Think everbodys different. With my early mc's i got AF aftr 26days- 33days.
