AF after Trigger

Hi Ladies.

I was hoping for some information.

I am taking Gonal-F with Ovitrell.

I'm unsure when to expect AF.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I'm sure the nurses at the fertility center and getting fed up with my calling and question asking.

I just had my first Gonal F/Trigger combo period. It came 16 days after the trigger which is pretty standard for me when I trigger with any meds.

I will gently warn you about your period on Gonal F. It could be very heavy and crampy. My periods are normally on the heavier side, but starting 2 days before AF came I had wicked cramps. When my period arrived, I had tremendous bleeding and nausea. I was going through a "diaper" heavy duty pad an hour for the first few days. I went in for a baseline ultrasound today and also have a cyst on my lead ovary side from last cycle which could have contributed to the pain. My RE said it's very common to have a heavier, more crampy period with injectables because it builds your lining up for pregnancy.

I took the trigger at 16:30 on the 19th, I was advised that I would ovulate 46 hours after this so 04:30 on the 21st which means that I will be 15dpo at 04:30 (I know it's 'too' specific, lol) which is in 3.5 hours.

I haven't really had any cramps. I've had a few twinges but by the time I've had chance to process that I have twinges, they've gone. Happens a couple times a day then goes for a day and repeats.

I had a scan on the 18th (day before the trigger) and everything was progressing nicely there and no signs of cysts. I started the injections on the 9th and I had scans and bloods 3/4 times (can't remember exactly, it was a bit of a blur).

I took a couple of IC tests when I woke (14dpo) and they were both BFN's but funnily enough, the cats was a BFP. A neutered cat. Male too. Lol. I bought a couple of FRER's today and going to try and hold out till after the weekend I think.

Lol!! I can't believe u gave the cat a preg test. I love it.

I don't think the trigger should really affect when you get af. Mine showed up just as normal (oh joy). That was the only meds I had this past cycle. Try testing again in a couple days. Fx for you!!!

AF came for me 17 days after the trigger shot.

Been cramping all morning so knew it was coming and it arrived a couple of hours ago. Very sneaky though.
