AF is 2 days late, ...& a BFN?! so confused :(

Hi guys, advice & thoughts appeciated,
A little background history my hubs and i lost our first pregnancy at 8 weeks 4 mths ago. Wasnt until last month we started trying again.
Im currently 2 days late on my period but im usually Never late!! Tested this morning and it was a huge "punch in the gut" BFN. Not sure what to think...bbs arent sore at all but i am having menstrual—type cramps on & off very dull. Any help????........

Hey,

I'm sorry you are going through this - it's so frustrating when period is late but the test is negative!

Some women do find they get a BFP quite late, especially depending on the brand.

Have you done a test with an FRER?

Sorry to hear about the MC.

I'm also late for AF by 2 days and my HPTs are coming back BFN. I've only been using Wondfos, though. I didn't want to go out and get more expensive sticks because I know I'd just use them right up and then I'd spend another fortune buying more if I needed them next month. >.>

I do chart BBT and my temps have been well above cover line (97.9°F) since I O'd. In fact, my temps have stayed at 98.4 or higher and I've been taking my temps at the same time every morning for quite a while.

Also I haven't used hormonal birth control for over 5 years, so that wouldn't be what is causing this "delay", though I have had my periods run a week late or longer before this when DH and I weren't TTC.

I was really sick at the beginning of this cycle, too. Maybe that's what's causing the delay?

My cycles are longer though, so maybe being 2 days late doesn't mean a thing for me. Heh.

I'd love some feedback, too.

I was 4 days late for af before I finally got the faintest positive ever. I had been using cheap tests the days before and it was whiter than white.

On the day af was due I had dull cramps like af, but I never cramp BEFORE. Only like the second day. So I was wondering what was up. But then I kept getting negatives. Finally on the 4th morning I bought a first response and I'm so glad I did because it gave me the faint positive. And I was SOOO happy that it was worth the 12 dollars for piece of mind lol.

Oh man, that is rough. I'm sorry for those of you who are getting BFNs even though AF is late. Someone needs to tell the fertility fairies that that just isn't fair. LOL.
I am having a tough time waiting until my AF is supposed to be here in 4-5 days, so I can't imagine the idea of having to KEEP waiting after that. No fun. Fingers crossed the no AF yet is a good sign for both of you!

I totally understand. I'm a week and 2 days late now and got a BFN again yesterday morning. I just came off birth control so I'm assuming I may have just skipped my period all together. Hopefully you'll have better luck. Try not to worry too much.

Thanks for replying! I used a clear blue digi. Maybe thats why? I heard from hey are less sensitive. Its now full days past due and af is no where to be found....hope it stays that way!

I actually used a clear blue digi...could that be the reason. I just hate the line tests bc i drive myself insane
I just feel preggers..but need the confirmation somehow :/
