....and I'm happy about that!

I know I've been touting 6 - 8 weeks, 6 - 8 weeks, here lately for the next expected period, but wondering if anyone can help me?

I had my D&C for my 14 week and 6 day baby 15 days ago. Had pretty light spotting this whole time. It was only the first day that I bleed, and not very much at that. Yesterday was my first full day with no spotting at all. The day before I had one spot right before I went to bed, so that day kind of counts too.

Just wondering if this has any use in figuring out when my period will come? Does this mean that I'm ovulating now (NO, I am not trying this month, no no no). So, does that mean it will come in two weeks? That would put me at about 5 weeks. Or should I take my own advice, stick my head in the ground and bring it back up in 6 - 8 weeks?

hey hun hope this helps...

i had my d&c on 8th April for a mmc at 6 weeks. the bleeding stopped after about 8 or 9 days so i thought "oh i must be ovulating now" and low and behold 9 weeks on STILL no period!!!

so just because the bleeding has stopped doesnt mean you will ovulate. some women dont even ovulate the first month after a d&c and it seems that i havent on the 2nd cycle either.

so id just wait and see what happens.. if you dont have one after 6 weeks youre supposed to see your doctor. xxx

BIG SIGH! I was hoping that this meant AF is on her way, but who knows. I'm a tiny bit crampy today, but that's been off and on for weeks now. My partner said I was really pmsy last night, which surprised me. Although I was crying over dinner and arguing with him that I wanted a job at the same time. Who knows what that means!

I guess I'll wait and see. It's the opposite to waiting to test for pregnancy isn't it? But there's no testing, just waiting! "Am I bleeding yet? Am I bleeding yet??" And I'm SO nervous about my next period because I've heard of so many crazy 1st period stories!!

Good luck to you TinaD. I hope you get those ovaries going soon.

Hi Hun,

Hope you're doing ok.

from my own experience, I bled 16 days then waited another 6 weeks for a few dyas of spotting and a further 6 weeks for a proper period. I still don't have a clue whats going on with my body as used to be 24 days like clockwork and am well over that now and doubt it's a BFP. I too had PMS symptoms for the full 12 weeks before hand which convinced me it was around the corner but I think possibly that some of it was hormones.

Everyone is different, thats just my story - I hope it comes soon for you. It seemed like forever to me as I kept thinking about it which is hard not to.

I too was a little worried about the first one but it wasn't anywhere near as bad as expected, apart from a little heavier and cramping which I never get, that was it.

it sounds like it's really all over the map with everyone hey? ANOTHER six weeks? I guess there's just no controlling it. I wasn't really regular before my pregnancy, so here's hoping that i'm the one that it changes, but for the better! Even today I'm cramping more, kind of like pre period bloating. Yuck. We are so complicated aren't we? Men just get to point and shoot, geepers.
