After pains - where do you get them?

I just had my third baby on 15th nov, after pains only started after my second baby.

I am feeling mine in thighs/hips/lower tummy come in waves like contractions did. I only recall tummy/lower back pain.

Where does other people feel them?

I had my DD on the 15th also. I felt the after pains exactly how you described them, especially around my hips and where i would normally get period pain. Although my uterus has already shrunk back to normal size so i haven't had them for about 5 days. Don't worry if your still getting them cause my body has done everything in super speed (including labour). The midwife in hosp told me the after pains get worse the bore babies you have.

I don't remember with DS1 (I think it was pretty much all over with him because of how my labor was (induction) and that they cut me and he was a forceps delivery), but with DS2, I had pain in my lower tummy (contraction like, as uterus was contacting back to normal size), and I did have pain in my hips/groin, and when I walked it was like my bones were clicking together (not a pleasant feeling).
