I'm 33 weeks pregnant and have extreme pain on my pelvic bone every time I move, walk, turn over in bed etc! My lower back is also in agony! Everyone is saying it's just the baby putting pressure on me but it gets so bad at times I could cry! Just wondering if anyone else is having the same problem or know what it could be? I'm not sure whether or not I should give the hospital a ring or if they will tell me it's just normal!

Could be spd, you should definitely talk to your midwife about it!

I had those pains with my son but it was because of the position he was in

Could be SPD? Would definitely bring it up to your care provider.

Could be your daughter moving down in to position. If you have any concerns though, just call the hospital/your OB and ask :) Good luck!

Sounds like SPD to me! I had it from about 20 weeks with my first and 15 weeks with my second. My pelvis was aching and throbbing almost constantly, turning in bed became a chore and my pelvis would crack/click. Horrible! You can see physio who can give you support for it. I had a pelvic support band both times and should have had crutches second time but I didn't bother due to having my toddler to chase after!

i remember one girl having a cracked pelvis actually on this board a while ago, maybe you should also get checked out for that? but anyway as pp said, i'd mention that to OB/midwife!

I would def get checked by the doctor. I had pain like that around 34ish weeks and it ended up being contractions... Luckily they were able to catch it soon enough and my daughter was stuck (her butt was stuck in my pelvis lol) Good luck!

oh wow! I have it too and I was going to comment saying its normal, i had no idea about SPD! telling my doctor at my appointment tomorrow

Thank you everyone! I rang the maternity unit last night as they told me to take paracetamol and see how I was today and if it was no better call them back, I'm definitely going to have to call them back today as I got no sleep last night with the pain when moving!
