All of a sudden our girl has started crying during Feeds

From birth until just under six weeks our wee girl always fed without crying, i mean okay she never eats much but she did not cry during feeds she was always calm and we burp her etc but now at bang on six weeks she has started crying really badly between every few mls of milk, she is up to 100ml finally as she is hungry but she screams during each feed and it takes a good hour to feed her properly. We have been giving her stuff for constipation as she was badly constipated and had colic and is being treated for both and she has no constipation anymore and she burps and farts frequently but why the crying??? from nothing?
does reflux just start up at six weeks from nothing? she was fine until now so why the fussing and crying all the sudden????

any ideas??

6 week growth spurt? maybe she is frustrated with her bottles?

It does sound like reflux. I wouldn't stress too much... although it's awful to see your baby in pain, it's really quite common in young babies as their digestive systems are undeveloped. I suggest burping her really frequently. I try to burp my LO after every ounce. Gripe water is also great and you can put it right in her bottle! If it gets worse, you can always reach out to her ped for some guidance and possibly medication. Zantak has worked wonders for us.

I know it may be nothing like this but my lo did this a couple of weeks back where he was crying after taking a tiny but...in the end I took him to docs and he had a throat infection x

I would try a faster flow nipple first. Gabe has reflux, and while he was fussy to feed, it was far worse in between feeds when he was spitting up acid. If she is only fussing during a feed, out sounds more like she is frustrated, and hungry.

reflux sounds exactly like dom - grimaced and cried even though they wanted the feed, he would crunch up or flex out and refuse to feed, go to the GP they will most likely prescribe infant gaviscon which has been a godsend for dom HTH's its tough seeing them go through reflux/colic xxx

update: it seems she did not like the temperature, it was a bit too cool, so we needed to heat the milk more and she has so far stopped crying otherwise if she keeps it up I will take her back to the doc but she has checked her throat and checked her for reflux but she is not crying every five seconds or in extreme pain during feeds, she seems okay now thanks
