Allergic to formula?

I have been trying to combi feed recently to wean LO onto formula by 4/5 months. Literally 10ml of formula in her bottle of breast milk. She has come up with a red rash each time and has been more sick than normal. Her face goes quite blotchy & stays that way. Is she gettung used to the milk or what?! Aptamil made her awfully sick. So i waited two weeks and tried hipp organic. She is not too sick on this but still is a little. But, the blotchy red face raises alarms. What do I do?!

Do you eat dairy products? If not or hardly at all, it's possible your lo has a lactose allergy. If you DO consume a lot of diary, or even a moderate amount, then that's unlikely because your lo would be having the same issue with your bm.

A little digestive upset would be expected, but not the red blotchy face, so that to me says allergy. I'd consult a Dr. about what to do/what formula to use, you may have to go with soy based, I'm not sure though.

Its more probably a milk protein allergy than lactose. Lactose allergy is very rare and people often get confused between the two. I agree and go to doctor x
