Allergies

I know my daughter is younger but I thought I might get better advice in here. My 2 year old has had a runny nose and a constant mild cold since at least September but I never really thought anything of it since she was her normal self. I noticed it was getting worse so I took her into the doctor awhile back who referred us to an allergist who diagnosed her with some fairly severe allergies to about 20 things including cats, oak trees, dogs (mildly) and dust particles. Anyone have any tips for dealing with this? how do I keep her comfortable without putting her in a bubble?

Neither of my two children have these type of allergies but my sister has. She is allergic to things from cats to most types of grasses to dust mites etc.

She was given drugs via the doctor to help because over the counter remedies didn't seem to help. But this was a long time ago so i don't know what they do now.

One thing i can recommend is for you to get an allergy test done via a homeopathic doctor. If you do this then they can give you natural tablets that won't affect your child in the same way that other tablets do. Also a change of diet can help combat allergies too and the homeopathic dr can advise of this too.

Thank you, I hadn't thought of a homeopath. We were given Nasarel which she won't tolerate AT ALL since it's a spray :eyeroll: so anything else would be greatly appreciated.

I think people are put off them as they are seen as not proper doctors. Our homeopath was practicing paeds doctor for a long time before starting to use natural remedies as he got fed up with the way drugs were pushed on children when a simple change of diet could sort out the problem. It may take you a while to find one that is similar but it is worth it.
