Am I not feeding enough?

My OH's friends wife had her baby 2 days before me and theyve brought us their old formula round (we use the same) as they've switched her to hungry baby milk as she was taking 6/7oz every 4 hours and was STTN already! My LO takes 4oz, occasionally a little more or less every 3 hours and wakes once or twice in the night for a feed... Sometimes will go 4 hours. He's gaining weight like a trooper, I just can't get my head around them needing hungry baby milk at this stage!

I'm not exactly sure what hungry milk is I don't think we have it in Australia. Ut if your LO is content and gaining weight they are getting enough

I dont see why they switched to hungry baby milk either. Maybe they were advised to by HV if their baby was gaining too much weight? 6-7oz feeds does seem alot for a 4 week old, but feeding 4 hourly seems quite long between feeds for a 4 week old to, especially if they STTN. Ask her if ur curious! xxx

My son is 2 months & still only takes 3-4oz! He eats every 2 hours in the day though lol & wakes up twice at night

TBH I don't wanna ask her coz she made me feel like there was something wrong with Harry coz he wasn't eating as much as theres or STTN... Even though he was weighed yesterday and is 10lb 8! When out today I just poured the whole carton in a bottle instead of splitting like normal and he only took 4 and a bit before spitting it out instead of drinking so he definatley doesnt want more! xxx

Rhys is four months today and takes 4-7 ounces at any given time And he gets dream fed at 10 and still wakes up around 4 a.m. for a feed

as long as he's gaining I would ignore your friends (and I don't think hungry milk is supposed to be used until later though not certain as it's not sold here)
