Hi ladies,

I have posted in so many different forums online. No response. I am starting to feel so alone here. :(

So I am writing on the pregnancy board here as my question is specific to what pregnancy is like with this condition.

I had my little one about five years ago and was diagnosed with pelvic congestion syndrome recently. I really want a second child badly. But with PCS I have a lot of varicose veins in my pelvis (none on uterus or around ovaries). I only get pain from them after a long car/plane ride or first day or two of period. But around period I canNOT have a BM without pain meds as more blood pulls into the veins around that time of the month and creates lots of pressure in my vaginal canal and cervix and it hurts. At any rate I have been told if I do get pregnant I may be excruciating pain by the end....and I'm really scared. Also they warned the PCS could get much worse after a second pregnancy.

Does anyone out there have experience with going through pregnancy with this? I am soooo worried about getting pregnant again because-

- I may be in chronic pain throughout preg without relief but no ones knows how intense it will be until I am. And once your on that train, so to speak, there is no getting off. So before I decide to do this or not do this I need to know if others went through this, and if so, how did they make it through?

For example:

We're u ever in so much pain you couldn't handle it?
How often can a pregnant woman safely take Tylenol?
How did you use the bathroom for a BM??
How did you push the baby out and how much more painful was it?
How is you pelvic congestion after pregnancy? How much worse??

I am literally so stressed about this I broke down in the radiologists office the other day like a total looser. we really want a second child, but I don't know if its possible...

Has anyone out there gone through this?

Hi, I have chronic pelvic congestion syndrome. I know exactly how you feel and what your going through. You are not alone. This is a quick reply but il be back shortly to talk more just a little busy at moment

My Mum has got severe pelvic congestion and severe endometriosis (sp?), she has had 6 children! I remember her suffering really badly with the pain during her last two pregnancies, and she was on bed rest a lot of the time. I couldn't tell you how she coped during labour, but I do know she didn't have any pain relief because she reacts badly to nearly everything. Since giving birth to my half sister 5 years ago, she has suffered from both the endo and PCS, but it has been sporadic. Sorry I haven't been able to go into too much detail about it, but just wanted to let you know that it is entirely possible to have multiple pregnancies with the condition and it is manageable. I know it's easier said than done, but try to be positive about it even though you are clearly very anxious about it. :hugs:
