Am I too late??

I bd'd 2x Wednesday and once today (having o pain). Is the day of o pain too late? I read somewhere that most pregnancies result from bd'ing the day before ovulation. I do not know if it's really true or not, but it is something about the sperm not having time to make it to the egg on o day. Will I ever get this ttc right? lol. You would think 13 months would be enough to get it.

Have you tried having sex every other day throughout your cycle? This was recommended by my FS as it gives you the greatest chance.

If that is not possible then have you tried using OPK's, charting etc? Relying on O pain i not really a good way to indicate as that pain could be associated with something else, may come before or after O.

Yes, I have tried that. Some months we can't seem to have sex every other day. Even during my fertile cycle. Sometimes I wonder if I would have pregnant a long time ago if we could just have sex 2-3 days in a row around ovulation. My husband never seems like he can do that.

If you BD'd Wednesday, the were probably still alive if you did indeed ov yesterday when you felt ov pains. Also, when you think you feel ov pains, that might actually be the follicle growing, not the egg being released, or so I've heard. So maybe you ov'd after you felt the pains. Good luck.
