I am 39 yrs old and GP has referred me to IVF specialist. Does anyone have any information they could share on my results?

Hello,
At 39 both your results seem VERY VERY good.
AMH is high for age and FSH is low.
Wishing you good luck.
I am 38. FSH was 4.9 and AMH was .93 or 6.6 in the Australian scale. My FSH looks ok for age but the AMH is a bit low. I am having it restested again soon at a lab who specialises it it.

Thank you for your response Rose. I'm a little perplexed that you say my results are good. My GP seemed to think my AMH level was a real concern and has prompted me not to wait to get some advice from a fertility specialist. She said a result under 14 is not good and mine was only 2.3. Why do you say that my results are very, very good?
Also, is it recommended to retest? Is there a high error rate with these tests?

Your on the Australian scale then, 2.3 would be fantastic if you were on the other scale, I think Rose83 thought you were on the other scale..mine was 6.7 and considered low as well..however my FS said as long as it wasn't below 1 there were eggs to work with  AMH does not reflect quality only the quantity of eggs left which is why there's concern. Def seek out FS advice because there are things that can be done :hugs::hugs: I don't think there's a high rate of errors with AMH testing, FSH can vary but AMH doesn't.

Thank you. Yes, I am on the Australian scale. I feel so dispondant at the moment :(
