Whilst I was pregnant I got the theory that if pregnancy was enjoyed and a good experience for the mother (little/no morning sickness, no swollen ankles etc) then the baby would be relaxed and easy to look after (sleeping through the night, easily amused, rarely grouchy, easy to settle etc). This all depends on the mindset of the mother I'm sure, but I've been curious ever since I got the idea, and welcome feedback! My own experience is that I loved being pregnant (no morning sickness, no back ache), and Logan is a relaxed baby who is hardly ever grouchy for no reason and easily settled/good sleeper.
Thanks in advance!

Me too! Don't get me wrong, she has her moments! :winkwink:

Your theory is 100% true for me! I was told an easy pregnancy meant a difficult labour...and that was true for me too!! :D x x x

I had a rough pregancy and I would concider E an easy baby. He has been a horrible sleeper but during the day he's pretty terrific.

Maybe we just all think our gorgeous LOs are easy?!

Had an easy pregnancy, easy birth then a 10 day stint in hospital with an ill baby but i would say that he is a great baby so was true for me :)

Had an easy pregnancy but Aaron was hard work as a baby. He's very easy now though as a toddler!

Don't think it would be fair on my little one to vote
as I had a fantastic pregnancy physically but my LO
was born with health issues which I guess would
contribute to him not being an 'easy' baby but it's not
his fault unfortunately!!

Difficult pregnancy and labour = easy baby for me

I agree with this. I think it's rare for a mom to think their babies are particularly hard once we get the hang of it all.

With that being said, I had horrible MS, a few UTIs and hospital visits during pregnancy, a horrible 25 hour labour that ended with a c-section...I have never seen a baby that smiles and laughs more than my own LO. And I've babysat for alot of babies. She has her moments but for the most part she has a constant smile on her face. :cloud9:

I put down the 2nd option - I did not enjoy pregnancy, and have an "easy" baby. I hated being pregnant. The only physical issue I had, (mind you, it was huge), is that I had constant contractions since week 16. Other than that, physical pregnancy related things were easy and I have an easy baby.

Mentally & emotionally is a whole different story...I won't go into that :)

Its certainly true for me, I had MS but apart from that pregnancy was relatively easy, labour brilliant and quick, and he is such a good baby he sleeps 12 hours overnight and naps well in the day time.

I enjoyed all 3 of my pregnancies, no real issues besides my hips which are an issue outside of pregnancy so the extra weight just made them worse. Landon was a very easy baby, Casen was no, he was very high needs, Hayden was pretty easy too but Landon was by far the easiest..he was my first too

I didn't enjoy pregnancy all that much. I didn't have the massive complications that I know some suffered, but I certainly would not have called it easy for me. My LO, on the other hand, really is an easy baby. Rarely fusses or cries. However, he is over 4 months and no where near sleeping through. But I don't consider that hard -- just normal, especially for a BF baby.

not true for me I'm afraid :) I had a pretty easy pregnancy but I wouldn't class Hannah as an easy baby

I had the worst pregnancy and Helena was the best baby ever. She only would cry when she pooped. She really was amazing. Now she is bad though
