Angry 11 yr old dd

First of all, huge hello.....

been away for 4 years but so glad im back ha ha, has anyone else dealth with an 11 year old lashing out?? not all the time, im sure its hormones but i think shes scaring herself and im not sure which is the best way to handle it!!

any advice greatly achieved

Communication!!
Make sure she knows you are there for her no matter what.
When you say lashing out you mean physically being aggressive?
Obv that behaviour is not acceptable but the emotion behind it is a valid one, she's feeling something and that's her reaction.
Is there anyone she's really close to who could try a gentle word or maybe tell her she can try to write down how she feels, its easier not to confront the person but this way she can still get her feelings out.
Be sure to be open and approachable, not always easy if she presses buttons but its the only way, she must be able to trust you not to judge her.
