I have chosed to go down the traditional route of weaning and have bought her book today but have some questions.

First - she splits her day into five so early morning, breakfast, lunch, tea and bedtime but Daniel only has a bottle at 7, 11, 3 and 7 so when she starts introducing a tea time feed and breakfast feed what time should they be!

Secondly - what baby cereal, fromage frais and rusks should I use

Thanks

Annabel Karmels book is good for recipes, but to be honest i found her meal planners a load of rubbish, my lo didn't folllow what she said.
so i just amended it suit our routine
my lo is older than your baby but our routine has been the same roughly since about 6 months old
so breakfast for us 7.30-8 am 1/2 weetabix or some cereal and an 8 oz bottle
lunch 11.30-12ish with water
2.30-3pm 8 oz bottle
5.30pm tea and water
7.30ish 8 oz bottle
we are on one less bottle than you
your lo might take less bottle when you start with the solids.

the baby cereals are good in terms of vitamins and iron but some have a lot of sugar in them. start off with the baby cereals, then move onto weetabix and porridge (normal adult cereal)
Rusks- i use farleys reduced sugar rusks, i don't use them that often as they do contain sugar but they are handy to use.
Yogurts i use glenisk baby fromage frais, no added sugar, natural occuring fruit sugars.
make sure get the one that says 6 months +
the glenisk one that says for kids is full of sugar
The solids/bottle is all trial and error so just see how you get on and what suits you
x
