Hi ladies, just wondering if anyone can give me a bit of advice, my LO has been on SMA infant for 6 weeks and to start with his poo was yellow in colour then about 10 days ago I noticed there was dark green streaks in it. He did have a little problem with trapped wind so we introduced gripe water 1-2 times a day and since then his poo has become runnier and dark green in colour.

Does anyone know if this is caused by the gripe water, his formula or something else?

Thank you in advance ladies x

Fran was on SMA from birth and her poo was always dark green. SMA contains more iron than other brands and is often known to cause dark green poo. Formula poo's can really be any colour and as long as they aren't very watery like diahorroea or hard and pebbly then it's normal xx7

Edit: If there's been a sudden change in colour then it could be an upset tummy or his tummy getting used to the change with the addition of the gripe water. I wouldn't worry too much but if you're really concerned have a chat with your doctor or hv xxx
