With Kaya I got a lot of pain BF for at least the first two months, some of it was bad latching but the rest was sensitive nipples, blocked ducts, mastitis and thrush. So my question is does it hurt less second time around? I haven't fed Kaya for at least 2 months now and I have another 2 months to go.

with me it hurt more second time round but that is because katie has a tougue tie so wasnt latching on properly..... know that hasnt helped you

I've been wondering this too... I had months of pain with Sam but I'm hoping a lot of it was just because I didn't have a clue what I was doing and the cracks etc. from bad latching caused the thrush - I'm so excited about breastfeeding this one but I'm expecting it to be so much easier!

Nice to see you Marley! How are you? x

Well my neighbor has loads of pain with both of her kids. Sorry ladies, fingers crossed that this time around it won't be painful for you.

That sucks, I was hoping it would be less painful!

Not too bad. I've been suffering in the heat but it seems to be cooling down a bit now (touch wood). Still got all the usual complaints though - bad back, bad hips, struggling to get off the sofa or the floor... :dohh: How about you? In the 3rd tri now aren't you?

It's been way easier all round this time and zero soreness after the first couple of weeks :)

I'm ok thanks...not enjoying the heat much either - it's been better today though (left my washing out in the rain all afternoon )

What date are you due? I am in 3rd tri now - already  I don't know where the time has gone!! x

Thanks for that - you've given me some hope that it might be pain free! I'm hoping to enjoy it from the start this time! x

For me there was an adjustment of about 2mo each time. Between them learning, me relearning with each child even though there wasn't all that much time between them, getting re-accustomed to someone always sucking lol. I had issues with all 3 BUT it made it easier knowing it was normal, what signs to recognize of say mastitis before it got terrible like with my first

I'm due the end of August so in reality it'll be September lol.

I was incredibly sore with my first, tears would stream down my face and my toes would curl, it hurt so much I nearly gave up. This time round after the first 2 weeks no pain at all, even the first couple of weeks it was only for the first couple of sucks, so my answer yes it's much better, think I'm less sensitve this time round.
